Our Family:: July 2012 Part 2

For the second half of July, we went on a road trip to Utah for my family reunion. We stopped in Vegas for a few very hot days (117 degrees- never want to live there). Had a great time with the whole trip. Here are the pics:

We stayed with Dan and Tiff while in Vegas. We had a great time & told them that we're expecting again. We took the kids to the strip to M & M World. They loved it! Very soon after we got back to their house, Nate and I headed off to the temple to see Brenda get sealed! What a wonderful experience! It was 3 years ago that we were in the Vegas temple with her when she took out her endowments. She has changed completely since we met and we are so happy for her! Sean and Jaime came too. Nate was a witness for the wedding.

We stayed at Beaver Creek Lodge- it was awesome because we had the whole lodge to ourselves. Across the street is where the do horseback riding and they let all the kids ride around for a little bit. Then Nate and Kir took Morgan, Kennedy, and Kate on a one hour ride.

Bear Lake

We went to the lake for a day. We rented wave runners and the water trampoline. The kids (and adults) had a blast. I was nervous on the wave runner because I thought Nate was going to tip it over. He didn't. But, Dad tipped it when he and Mom were on it. Mom put on a good face, but I would have been so mad! Justin lost his glasses off the edge of the trampoline- it was about 10 feet to the bottom of the lake where they were, but the water was clear and they were able to get them back!

Minnetonka Cave (I think that's what it's called and I'm not looking it up right now to double check)

This cave is huge! You climb 444 steps to get to the parts we saw. And it was cold- 46 degrees at the bottom of the cave. Nate was worried about my heart and all the steps, but I was fine.

They only let you touch this one stalagmite- once the oils on your hands get on it, it stops growing. This one is really shiney from all the hands that have touched it.
