Nate has made this into a joke, but here it is:
When we moved to Issaquah, I quickly because friends with Tiffany. She had a girl just a month younger than Morgan and we hit it off right away. But, because I have a sister in-law named Tiffany, I would always refer to the Issaquah Tiffany as "my friend Tiffany". Nate would laugh at how often I included "my friend" infront of "tiffany".
Then it became "my friend Jaime".
And now it is "my friend Miriam". No, I don't know any other miriams or have family members named that, but she gets to be known as "my friend."
Miriam has 3 kids- Evan, Eli, and Sam's ages- so it's really fun to hang out (and really loud and crazy and someone usually ends up crying (multiple times). We are VT companions and our dads are both in stake presidencies. But, what is bringing us together on a daily basis now is the roadshow. Yep, me and my friend miriam are writing the roadshow. It's been fun and stressful and tough, but I think we'll end up with something good. After getting together 4 times while kids were awake, we decided that we need to write this when they are asleep. So she came over last night and we wrote for a few hours (and talked and laughed). It's been fun to get to know her better and to add her to my list of friends!
